Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (Radiyallahu’anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, “Blessing (barakah) is with your elders/ seniors.” Explanation: Elders refers to those who are experienced and punctual on good actions. Remain in their company so that you can follow their advices and attain guidance through emulating their ways. (Faydul Qadir, Hadith :3205)
A pious servant of Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله said; “Once I was in a Majlis (gathering where a discourse is given) of Hazrat Ahmad Harb رحمه الله. He made such a statement which brightened my heart. Today even after forty years, my heart remains bright at the effect of that statement. It has never departed from my heart.”
