Hakeemul Ummah Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanwi Sahib رحمه الله has said that it is with great pride we can present to the world the Islamic tenet: “The one who desires leadership shall not be appointed.”
There is no nation that can present such a principle. Besides Islam, this tenet cannot be found in any religion or ideology. Nowadays leadership is bestowed to those who hanker after it. For every post there are innumerable applicants.
On the contrary, is the law of Shariah. The person who applies for the post of leadership is denied; his application will be rejected.
