A person by the name of Moulana Ali Radha mentioned; “As a student, I remained with Hazrat Moulana Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi رحمه الله for five years. Thereafter, I continued to visit him from time to time. Because I was searching for a Sheikh, I kept a watchful eye on Hazrat Moulana Gangohi رحمه الله. Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله is my witness, for years I observed him, but I never found him doing anything against the Sunnah. I never saw him leaving out a Mustahab (optional) action. During my student days, I observed how patient he was with the students no matter how ill-mannered or disrespectful they were. Hazrat رحمه الله would still show them affection and love. The result of this patience was that these pupils would leave out all their evil ways on their own accord and apologise to Hazrat رحمه الله for their wrongdoings.”
