Hakeemul Ummah Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanwi Sahib رحمه الله has said that the reality of علم (knowledge) is acquired by means of Taqwa. This is the Fiqh about which Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said; “Allah Ta’ala (جل جلاله) bestows Fiqh (understanding) of the Deen to the one for whom He intends goodness.” This ILM-E-HAQEEQI (true knowledge) is not attained from a mere study of Kitaabs. This علم (knowledge) is not the product of the Madrasah curriculum. It is the علم (knowledge) which the Sahaabah رضوان الله عليهم أجمعين had acquired from the Suhbat (companionship) of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم.
