Nothing Is More Precious

A Sahābi from the Muzaynah tribe asked Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم; “What is the best thing ever granted to a Muslim?”

Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم replied; “Good conduct.” (Jāmi’ut Tirmizi, Vol 3, Page 411)

GOOD CHARACTER ERADICATES ONE’S SINS

Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbās رضي الله عنهما narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said; “Good character cause sins to melt away as water washes ice away.” (Targhīb, Vol 3, Page 411)

POOR PEOPLE CAN SURPASS GENEROUS WEALTHY PEOPLE

Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said; “You will not be able to surpass the wealthy people with wealth, but you can definitely outclass them by good character and a pleasant countenance.” (Targhīb, Vol 3, Page 411)

Note: It is difficult to compete with affluent people as far as spending is concerned. This Hadīth provides consolation for those who do not have the means, as they can excel in good conduct and surpass or equal the wealthy.
