Hazrat Abu Zarr رضي الله عنه narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said; “There is no intelligence like planning, no piety like abstention, and no nobility like good conduct.” (Sunan Ibn Mājah, Page 311)
PIETY AND GOOD CONDUCT – CAUSES OF ENTRANCE INTO JANNAH
Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked about the basis on which people would enter Jannah, and Nabī صلى الله عليه وسلم replied; “Piety and good conduct.”
When Sayyiduna Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم was asked about that which would cause many people to go to Jahannum, he صلى الله عليه وسلم said; “The mouth and the private parts.” (Jāmi’ut Tirmizī, Vol 2, Page 21)
Note: Most of us severely lack in piety and good character. On the contrary, we are reckless with our tongues, and this could unfortunately lead us to the wrath of Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله. May Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله protect all Muslims. آمين
