السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
My Beloved and Respected Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Saleem Sahib حفظه الله
Hazrat, this servant is regularly making duaa for you. May Allah Ta’ala keep Hazratwala’s shade upon us with aafiyah and grant us the corresponding tawfeeq to enact the noble advices shared. آمين
Hazrat, because of the severe economic downturn and rampant inflation, people have expressed great fear with regards to their sustenance and safety. This servant will indeed be appreciative if Hazratwala can give us some advice to share with our communities.
Humble plea for duaas.

و عليكم السلام و رحمة الله و بركاته
Allah khususi fadhl farmaen.
Everyone should keep their gaze on Allah Ta‘aalaa and hold fast to tawakkul, tawbah and taqwaa.
The following aayaat should remain at the forefront:
- ومن يتوكل علي الله فهو حسبه
- ولو ان اهل القري آمنوا واتقوا لفتحنا عليهم بركات من السماء والارض
- اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا * يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَارًا* وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ أَنْهَارًا
With this each person should benefit through dua, sadaqah, salah, zikr and sabr.

The Aayaat that were Mentioned:
And whoever places his trust in Allah, He is sufficient for him. (Surah Talaaq: 3)
In this verse Allah جل جلاله promises those who put their trust in Him that He shall suffice them against every worry, because Allah جل جلاله will execute His decisions that He made for them, in whatever way He wills and chooses. Allah جل جلاله set a measure for all things. It is in accordance with this set measure that He decrees all acts. Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah record from Sayyiduna Umar (رضي الله عنه) that Allah’s Messenger (صلی اللہ عليه وسلم) said:
لو اَنّکم توکّلتم علی اللہ حقّ توکّلهِ لرزقکم کما یرزق الطّیر تغدوا خماصًا وتروح بطانًا
“If you trust in Allah جل جلاله as He ought to be trusted, He will provide for you in the same way as He provides for the birds. They leave their nests while hungry in the mornings, but come back in the evenings with their bellies full.” (Sunan Ibn Majah: 5/266)
If the people of the towns believed and feared Allah, We would have opened for them blessings from the heavens and the earth. (Surah A’raaf: 96)
The Arabic word بركة:’barakah’ used in this verse and translated as blessing signifies increase or growth. The expression ‘blessing of the heaven and the earth’ refers to all means of prosperity, like proper and timely rain, abundant and healthy produce of the earth and, above all, carefree enjoyment from their possessions with no anxiety to spoil the pleasure of things. That is, everything would have been blessed with ‘barakah’.
Ask your Lord for forgiveness, indeed He is very forgiving. He will cause the heavens to rain upon you in abundance, and will help you with wealth and children, and will cause gardens to grow for you and rivers to flow for you. (Surah Nuh: 10-12)
Most scholars have deduced from this verse that, through tawbah and istighfaar, Allah جل جلاله sends down rain in abundance according to the need of the time; no famine occurs; and through the blessings of tawbah and istighfaar, Allah جل جلاله will reinforce people with more wealth and children. Occasionally, the perfect and consummate wisdom of Allah جل جلاله wills the contrary situation. Generally, however, the Divine custom of Allah جل جلاله with people is to alleviate calamities if they make tawbah, istighfaar and give up sins.
