Someone asked Hakeemul Ummah Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanwi Sahib رحمه الله; “How is it to curse Yazeed?”
Hazrat Thaanwi رحمه الله replied; “The person who has yaqeen (certitude) that his death will be in a better condition than Yazeed, may do so (i.e. curse Yazeed). However, this certitude will only be known after death. Therefore, this question at this time (i.e. before death) is futile. If he dies in a state worse than Yazeed, then it will be a great humiliation for him, for then he will deserve greater لعنة (curse) than even Yazeed.”
Every person should reflect on his own crimes against Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله. How does he fulfil the Huqooq (rights) of Allah Ta‘ala جل جلاله. Even his Salaah is not correctly performed. How then can he think ill of others?

NOTE
Shafeequl Ummah Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Farooq Sahib رحمه الله has said that the great disease in our lives is that we allow ourselves to be consumed by issues not in our control. Hazrat رحمه الله has advised that if we carefully examine our faults and acts of rebellion against Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله, everyone else will be regarded as better than us. When we search for our faults, we will be so busy rectifying our faults that we will have no time for the faults of others.
