Malfoozaat of Hakeemul Ummah, Mujaddid al-Millat, Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Ashraf Ali Thanwi Sahib رحمه الله
It is mentioned in a Hadeeth Shareef that Rasulullah ﷺ said:
《ان لربكم نفحات في الدهر فتعرضوا لها》
“Indeed, your Lord has special breezes of grace in different times, so seek them.”
A person should value such times greatly. Those whose eyes are open clearly perceive the blessings of Ramadaan, while the heedless see this month as no different from any other. Ramadaan arrives, pours down its blessings and divine Noor like a rainfall, and then departs—yet some remain completely unaware.
Such heedless people are like someone sitting inside a house during intense heat while outside, clouds gather, cool breezes blow, and refreshing rain falls, bringing joy to the people. The clouds pass, the sky clears, and yet this person remains inside, oblivious to the transformation outside.
Ramadaan is always filled with divine blessings and Noor. However, at certain other times as well, if a seeker truly yearns, he may reach unimaginable heights through these blessings. Therefore, one should never be negligent. Even for a single moment, one must not be heedless of Allah Ta’aala. It may be that He turns His special attention toward you at some moment, and you remain unaware. In such heedlessness, those divine favours and graces may not reach you.
