Hazrat Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه narrates that a man came to Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم and said, “O Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم should I devote a portion of time I have allocated for dua to convey Durood upon you.” Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, (You may) “allocate as much as you desire.” The man said, “then I wish to allocate two thirds of the time I have allocated for dua to convey durood upon you.” He then said, “What if I allocate all the time I have allocated for dua to convey durood upon you.” Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “In that case Allah Ta’ala will relieve you of all worries of this world and the hereafter.”
Remedy for Doubts and Stray Thoughts
Hazrat Shaikh Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya رحمه الله once mentioned the following advice in a letter he wrote to a certain person who was suffering from doubts and stray thoughts and was also contemplating suicide:
An effective remedy for dealing with doubts and stray thoughts is for one to ignore the doubts and stray thoughts and not pay attention to them. Furthermore, one should recite ‘Laa howla walaa quwwata illaa billaah’ forty-one times after every fardh salaah, together with reciting Durood Shareef before and after.
I am disappointed and grieved that an intelligent person such as yourself has been getting thoughts regarding commiting suicide. To even contemplate suicide is a sin, hence you should not even think about it. May Allah bless you with Aafiyah (ease).

Spiritual Progress through Ibaadah and Durood
Once a woman was unfortunately divorced by her husband. Being heart-broken, she decided to change her life and become Closer to Allah Ta’ala. With Moulana’s guidance, she began engaging in optional ibaadah and reciting abundant Durood on Nabi Her spiritual condition reached the point that daily she would dream of Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم, of Jannah, and of eating the fruits of Jannah, etc. At times, she would see a dream at the time of Tahajjud. She would awaken and perform her Tahajjud Salaah. When she would go back to sleep after completing her ma’moolaat (acts of ibaadah) her dream would continue. The night before Moulana could pass away, she sent a message to Moulana that she had dreamt that Moulana was on the Mataaf. Suddenly the door of the Ka’bah Shareef opened and Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم came out carrying a tray with a red apple. Two people were accompanying Nabi Her dream ended in this manner.

Glad Tidings for Moulana Yunus Patel
Approximately, six weeks before Moulana’s رحمه الله demise, a letter was received from an Aalim of Madinah Munawwarah. He explained in his letter that he had seen in a dream that the door of the Ka’bah Shareef had opened and Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم came out with two people. Thereafter. Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم pointed out to one of them and asked Moulana if he knew who this person was? When he replied in the negative, Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “This is Jibraeel عليه السلام. He came to convey salaams to you from Allah Ta’ala.”

“O Sustainer, shower Salaat and Salaam forever and ever upon Your beloved, who is the best of all creation.”
May Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله reward our Nabi Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم on our behalf such a reward that is due to Him.
