وعن أبي مسعود الأنصاري رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه قال أكثروا علي من الصلاة فى يوم الجمعة فإنه ليس أحد يصلى علي يوم الجمعة الا عرضت علي صلاته (القول البديع ص334)
Hazrat Abu Masood Ansari رضي الله عنه narrates that Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Increase your recitation of Durood on a Friday because no person recites Durood upon me on a Friday except that his Durood is presented to me.
Hazrat Mufti Mahmood Hasan Gangohi’s رحمه الله love for Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم and following the Sunnah
Allah Ta’ala had ignited the flame of love for Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم in the heart of our Hadhrat Mufti Saahib رحمه الله. Hadhrat’s رحمه الله heart always palpitated with this love. However, Allah Ta’ala had also blessed Hadhrat (RA) with such humility that he never expressed himself to anyone. He would always remain as if he was just a normal person
Hadhrat Mufti Saahib رحمه الله was an ardent follower of the Sunnah of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. He was extremely particular about following the Sunnah whether it was an act of ibaadat or a mundane action. His desires and wishes revolved around the Sunnah. He always mentioned that following the Sunnah is actual piety.

Etiquette in Visiting the Sick
Visiting the sick is a Sunnah of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and there are many virtues mentioned in the Ahaadith concerning this. Hadhrat رحمه الله often visited friends who were ill ensuring that he fulfilled all the sunnats whilst doing so.
Once, when Hadhrat رحمه الله came to Dhabhel, Moulana Shafi Mia Saahib رحمه الله was ill in hospital. The hospital was a distance away in another town. It was extremely hot with hot winds blowing. Hadhrat رحمه الله performed his salaah early and left for the hospital. He only returned at the time of Maghrib having only spent a few minutes at the hospital. Moulana Shafi Saahib رحمه الله insisted that he stay longer but Hadhrat رحمه الله mentioned the Hadith “One should visit a sick person for the duration of milking a camel.” Thereafter, Hadhrat رحمه الله left.

Seven Signs of Love for Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم
- The first sign of love is following Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. Actually, the sign of love for Allah is also following Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. As Allah Ta’ala says,
Say O Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم, If you love Allah Ta’ala, follow me. Allah will love you. (Aal Imraan v31)
- The Second Sign of love is taking the name of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم in abundance. As it has been mentioned,
من أحب شيئا أكثر ذكره
Whoever loves something, increases its mention.
A person should make Rasulullah a reference point for every aspect of life, continuously mention incidents of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and study the authentic book of Hadeeth and Seerah well.
- The third sign of love is such love for the Deen which Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم brought that enables one to sacrifice everything for it. One is prepared to happily tolerate every difficulty in propagating the Quran and Sunnah of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم.
- The fourth sign of love is that a person is always conscious regarding the honour and reverence of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. By reciting Durood Shareef whenever one hears the name of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and by taking the name of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم with utmost respect.
- The fifth sign of love is that a person has an ardent desire to visit the Mubarak Rawdhah of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. It is obvious that the greatest desire of a lover is meeting his beloved.
- The sixth sign of love is love for every such thing which is linked and attributed to Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. Love for the family, wives, companions of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم. Love for the city of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم and its streets and alleys. Love for the language of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم.
- The seventh sign of love for Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم love for the inheritor of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم i.e. the Ulama and the righteous, pious and pure saints.
Let us introspect for a while. Do we have these signs in us?

يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمَاً أَبَدًا عَلَى حَبِيْبِكَ خَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ كُلِّهِمِ
“O Sustainer, shower Salaat and Salaam forever and ever upon Your beloved, who is the best of all creation.”
جَزَی اللہُ عَنَّا نَبِيَّنَا مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْه وسَلَّمَ بِمَا هُوَ أَھْلُهُ
May Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله reward our Nabi Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم on our behalf such a reward that is due to Him.
