Considering the massive financial implications presently, especially with the higher prices, we are facing great challenges and experiencing massive anxieties in order to stretch budgets. After reading through various articles by our Ulama, Haafiz Qaasim Sahib حفظه الله advises us to focus on reciting the following duaas:
“My Lord, I am in dire need of whatever good that you bestow on me.”
O Allah Ta’ala! The Everlasting, The Sustainer, I passionately beg Your mercy. Correct all my affairs for me and do not hand me over to myself even for a blink of an eye.
“Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the fire.”
The duaas before and after eating are also extremely effective for barakah in our rizq.
Some of these duaas are:
In the name of Allah Ta’ala, and with the blessings of Allah Ta’ala.
All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who gave us food and drink and made us Muslims.
All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who provided me with this food, and He granted it to me without any effort and ability from me.
O Allah, put barakah in this food and grant us something better than it.
All praise is due to Allah Ta’ala who fulfilled our need and quenched our thirst, (O Allah Ta’ala), we do not regard our praises to be sufficient (in praising You for the food You have granted us), nor are we ungrateful (for Your favours upon us).
Also, massive benefit has been derived in Salaatul Haajah and the Masnoon duaa thereafter:
There is no God besides Allah Ta’ala, the Most tolerant and Generous, who is free from any faults and the Rabb of the great throne (Arsh). Praise be to Allah Ta’ala, The Master of the worlds. I ask you (O Allah Ta’ala) for all those things that will make your mercy necessary on me, and all those things that will earn for me your forgiveness. (I ask for) safety from sin, and I desire a full share of pious actions and complete safety from sins. (O Allah Ta’ala) let not a single sin of mine be left without being forgiven, nor let any worry or pain be left from being relieved, nor let any grief be left from being removed, nor let any difficulty be left from being removed and nor any need of mine which you will be pleased with let it not be left from being completed. O the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
A Priceless Principle
Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Maseehullah Khan Sahib رحمه الله shared a priceless principle to assist us,
“Our income is not in our control but our expenditure is.”
Therefore, let it be a collective effort at home involving the wife and children to ensure that we save ourselves from extravagance and wastage.
We, as the Ummah of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه و سلم, need to desperately encourage one another towards obedience and actions which will attract the help of Allah Ta‘ala.
