Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (Radiyallahu’anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, “Blessing (barakah) is with your elders/ seniors.” Explanation: Elders refers to those who are experienced and punctual on good actions. Remain in their company so that you can follow their advices and attain guidance through emulating their ways. (Faydul Qadir, Hadith :3205)

About Hazrat Hafiz Qaasim Sahib

Hazrat Hafiz Qaasim Paruk Sahib (Hafizahullah) is the founder and head of Khanqaah Farooqiyyah in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Hazrat is also the secretary of the Midlands Dawah Centre which oversees many Makaatib in Pietermaritzburg, as well as in the surrounding rural areas.

Hazrat (Hafizahullah) was born in Asherville, Durban on the 23rd January 1965. His tarbiyyah was meticulously taken care of by his parents and grandparents; great attention was given to the performance of Salaah, love for the Holy Qur’an, devotion to the Ahlullāh and commitment to Deen.

Hazrat (Hafizahullah) started the memorization of the Holy Qur’an in 1973 and completed during 1979 at the West Street Musjid in Durban. Many incidents confirm the love, affection and confidence his Hifz teacher, Hazrat Hafiz Sayyid Muhyiddeen Kazi Sahib (Rahimahullah) had in him. The fact that Hazrat was requested to teach Hifz with his teacher immediately after completion, speaks volumes. Hazrat was indeed fortunate to be in the company of many Ahlullāh from his childhood. Hazrat often mentions being taken at a tender age to Hazrat Munshi Sahib (Rahimahullah), the noble Khalifah of Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Maseehullah Khan Sahib (Rahimahullah). Hazrat has also acknowledged repeatedly the tremendous influence Hazrat Hafiz Dr Abdul Qādir Hansa Sahib has had on his life.

Through the grace of Allah Ta’ala and the blessings of the various Asaatiza, notably Hazrat Moulana Abdul-Raheem Khan Sahib (Hafizahullah) and Hazrat Mufti Basheer Amod Sahib (Rahimahullah), Hazrat began delivering the Jumu’ah khutbah at the tender age of fifteen. Hazrat thereafter started giving Jumu’ah lectures.

Hazrat (Hafizahullah) got married in 1986 and settled in Pietermaritzburg from January 1987. Hazrat made Imaamat at the Top Musjid in Pietermaritzburg for twelve years.

Hazrat took Bay’at at the hands of Maseehul Ummah Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Maseehullah Khan Sahib (Rahimahullah), at the tender age of sixteen. Hazrat travelled to Jalaalabad, India in 1989 with his maternal uncle, Hajee Husain Hansa Sahib (Rahimahullah), also a friend of Allah Ta’ala and an extremely pious personality, to spend time in the blessed company of Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Maseehullah Khan Sahib (Rahimahullah).

After Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Maseehullah Khan Sahib (Rahimahullah) passed away, Hazrat (Hafizahullah) renewed his Bay’at at the hands of Hazratjee’s (Rahimahullah) honourable Khalifah, Shafeequl Ummah Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Farooq Sahib (Rahimahullah) in 1992. Hazrat received the mantle of Khilafat from Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Farouq Sahib (Rahimahullah) in 1994 at the age of twenty nine. The Silsila (spiritual chain) of Hazrat links through a series of authentic saints to Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Hazrat has earned the Duas of his parents, teachers, spiritual mentors as well as many senior pious personalities of the Ummah. A true ardent lover of the pious.

Hazrat (Hafizahullah) is an expert in the science of Tasawwuf (spiritual reformation). Hazrat is a personification of compassion and tolerance who has captured the hearts of many, especially the youth. Alhumdulillah, many have initiated a formal relationship of self-reformation his hands and are benefitting tremendously from his spiritual guidance. Many have given up sin and have attained a closer connection and bond with our Allah Ta’ala and His Beloved Rasul (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Weekly Islahi and Zikr programmes are conducted at Musallah Anwaarul Abraar, Pietermaritzburg.

This website hopes to provide the Ummah with an easy medium of benefiting from the spiritual guidance, advices and teachings of Hazrat Hafiz Qaasim Paruk Sahib (Hafizahullah) on a global level.

May Allah Ta’ala keep Hazrat’s (Hafizahullah) shadow above us with aafiyat and allow us to continue benefitting from him making it a means of attaining Allah Ta’ala’s perpetual pleasure. Ameen.
