What Is Most Difficult For Shaitan?

Hazrat Sahal bin Abdullah Tastari رحمه الله once said that he saw the accursed Iblees in a dream. Hazrat Sahal رحمه الله asked him; “What is most difficult for you?”

Iblees replied; “The heart of a Muslim in which is ingrained the remembrance of Allah Ta‘ala جل جلاله.”

REFLECTIONS

Unfortunately, constancy in Zikr has been neglected by even those who are considered pious. Our degenerate state is due to our sins and heedlessness. Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله has mentioned very clearly; “And do not become like those who forgot about Allah.” Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله states that “these are the transgressors.” Forgetting Allah Ta’ala جل جلاله is the cause of sinning. This is our illness. The treatment is that we spend time in solitude daily, for a few minutes, with attention and focus recite لا إله إلا الله or الله الله. By virtue of the constancy of Zikrullah, we will develop an aversion for sinning. This is a tried and tested remedy.
